For The Safety of Our Patients

Dental Office

The safety of our patients and staff is number one! And then came COVID.

We have taken well planned steps to implement safety measures at our dental office. Since May 2020, we have thoughtfully implemented the following changes.

All of our patients will have undergone a telephone screening interview that included being asked a series of COVID screening questions and a reminder of our standard practice to adhere to wearing facemasks at all times, handwashing and sanitization.

As you enter our facilities you will notice signs that remind you of social distancing, an air filtration device, which is also present in every room inside or our office.  These devices have UV sanitization, ionization as well as HEPA filtration. As you pause before entry inside you will have your no-contact forehead temperature checked at the door by one of our staff.

As you are being escorted to your treatment room, you will be giving instructions on using pre-procedural rinsing with OraCare™. This is because we know that aerosols (which includes microbes such as bacteria, viruses and fungi) can be minimized and hopefully eliminates prior to treatment.  We have selected a product that has the ability to kill all these type of microbes, with the focus on viruses.

Our office feel that OraCare™ is the BEST product for pre-rinsing because OraCare’s active ingredient chlorine dioxide (ClO2) kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and breaks up biofilm through the process of oxidation.  Chlorine dioxide has been used for nearly 200 years in other industries like water treatment systems and the post harvest of foods. It is safe and effective.

We have also upgraded our A/C system to incorporate the Clean Air Exp system, a filtration system and it is to Dr Chan’s understanding that ‘they tested with a third-party Certified Biosafety Laboratory on the best coronavirus surrogates available.”  In our discussion with Clean Air EXP,“ the company, found that their technology leads to a 99.9% elimination of airborne coronavirus surrogates,” So while they do not eliminate COVID-19, their coronavirus surrogate testing results are significant for the future of clean air.”

At our dental office, we are doing everything we can to foster the cleanest, safest environment for our patients, our staff and the dental health of our community.
